I’m Coach Felipe, and we’re about to dive into something that’s an absolute game-changer for athletes at all levels—your Mobility Assessment. Whether you’re pushing for personal bests or just working on keeping your body in top shape, mobility is key. We’re not just talking about touching your toes; I’m talking about full-body freedom of movement that directly translates into better performance, reduced injury risk, and overall mastery in your sport. Here’s what we’ll check: Shoulder Mobility: Your shoulders are crucial for almost every sport, especially gymnastics. We'll assess how well your shoulder joints move so you can hang, swing, and press with ease. Lat Flexibility: Tight lats can limit overhead movements and cause compensations elsewhere. We’ll make sure you’re not being held back in any pushing or pulling motions. Hip Mobility: Your hips are the foundation of power. If they’re tight or restricted, it’s going to affect everything from your squats to your swings. Let’s unlock that range! Hamstrings: Flexibility here is a must for dynamic movements. If they’re too tight, they’ll slow you down and make things like tumbling or vaulting a struggle. Quad & Hip Flexor Flexibility: Tight quads and hip flexors can throw off your balance, posture, and power output. We’ll test them so you can leap higher, run faster, and land softer. Gymnastics-Specific Mobility Standards: We’ll measure your flexibility and mobility against gymnastics-specific benchmarks to make sure you’ve got the range to execute skills safely and efficiently. We’re going deep into how your body moves and finding out where you're strong, where you're flexible, and where we need to put in some work to get you performing at your best.
